The Wildlife Trust work parties on Bacombe Hill will continue on the second Thursday of the month through the spring and summer so please contact about joining in.

At Weston Turville Reservoir we'll be taking a break till 28 June.

The Chilterns Group of The Wildlife Trust invites you to its highly reputed Plant and Produce Charity Market at Great Missenden Memorial Centre on Sunday 20 May from 10am to 1pm. This is our main local fundraising event with all proceeds going to conservation work on reserves like Bacombe Hill and Weston Turville Reservoir.


Then we shall be starting our Orchid Extravaganza, a programme of walks to see wild orchids prefaced by "Adventures of an Orchid Hunter', a talk by Kew botanist Lief Bersweden at College Lake on Saturday 2 June at 7pm. Booking for the talk and the walks has already started - for full details please go to and get your tickets.

Annual Orchid Count at Aston Clinton Ragpits

Join warden Phil Townsend to help with the annual count of the thousands of orchids that flower in this small area of old rag pits.
Meet in the lay-by at the entrance at the bottom of Aston Hill HP22 5NF. Grid ref SP888107.
