This year’s Parklife Weekend is shaping up to be the best yet.

Parklife weekend will start at 12noon on Saturday 25th August with Live in the Park, featuring 9.5 hours of continuous live music across two stages and a wide range of family fun and entertainment.

Saturday evening sees STARS IN THE PARK. This is organised by UK Astronomy Events, please see their page for further information.

Starting at 10:15pm, behind the main stage, join the team for a tour around the night sky using loads of amazing telescopes and equipment. Children must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult.

CHURCH IN THE PARK - this is an all inclusive open air service and celebration by The Aylesbury Church Network, it runs from 10:30am - 12noon.

BANQUET IN THE PARK - Aylesbury Church Network offers you a a chance to feast on a selection of fine multi-cultural dishes provided free by different ethnic groups from our town.

The entire weekend culminates with PROMS IN THE PARK, where you are invited to bring picnics, rugs, flags and your singing voices for this great British tradition, with a 45 piece concert band, soloists and a guest interval performance, still to be confirmed. A spectacular firework display will finish the entire weekend at 9:30pm on Sunday 26th August.


Aylesbury Concert Band with soloists Alison Langer and Lawrence Thackery will delight you at this typically English outdoor concert. The program will include special arrangements for all of the family to enjoy, as well as the popular and traditional Proms anthems of Rule Britannia, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory.

This year we will be joined by Shona Beecham, a 15 year old violinist with an extraordinary talent.

Bring your Union Jack flags, rugs, picnics, friends and family to enjoy the mix of traditional and contemporary arrangements. The evening, and entire Parklife weekend, will culminate in a brilliant firework display at approx. 9:30pm.

You are invited to arrive with picnics from 6:30pm, concert starts at 7:15pm with fireworks at 9:30pm

A bar will be on site serving alcoholic and soft drinks, along with hot drinks and sweet treats. Please do feel free to bring your own picnic or make use of the fabulous local businesses joining us on the night.

As parking at Vale Park is limited we advise that you use public transport or park in one of the many town centre car parks and walk the short distance to the venue.

Please note that parking is NOT permitted at the local shopping parks - in previous years visitors have received fines for parking by Pets at Home / Office Outlet - please do not use this car park.

Additional facilities will be provided for those with disabilities, including viewing area, track ways across the park, wide access toilet units, large print text and a respite and welfare area. Blue Badge parking is available at AquaVale swimming pool where additional spaces will be provided on the day.

Please remember that this event is FREE to attend.

Parents / guardians are responsible for the care of their children at all times, children are not be left un-attended at any time.

Toilet and First Aid facilities are available on site.
