Wedding Fair

Saturday 30 March, 11am – 3pm

Your chance to come and see our beautiful building set up for a ceremony, chat to our suppliers and discuss your day with our wedding planner. Pre-register your attendance at the fair to receive a fabulous free goody bag on the day, full of special offers, discounts and treats. Samurai: Warriors of Ancient Japan

6 April – 13 July

Discover stunning examples of historical Samurai armour and weapons, from complete suits to beautiful swords and ornate helmets. Entry by donation.

 

Shakespeare in the Museum Garden
Saturday 6 April, 2pm – 5pm
Unbound Theatre Company from Queens Park Arts Centre perform Anthony & Cleopatra in the delightful setting of the Museum garden. Bring your own chair. Entry by donation.

Rock and Fossil Day
Saturday 13 April, 11am – 4pm
A day of rock and fossil fun for all ages with hands-on activities and geology experts. Entry by donation.

Easter in the Stuart Household
Easter Day 21 April: 11am – 4pm
Easter Monday 22 April: 10am – 5pm
Come and help the Stuart Household celebrate Easter and get ready for their Feast. A historical re-enactment event for all the family. Family activities. Entry by donation.

 

There’s also a new exhibition Hands-on Victorians where families can discover what life was like during Queen Victoria’s reign. There’s lots to touch, see and do including dressing up, climbing in a tin bath and sitting at a school desk. Hands-on Victorians runs until 27 April.

 

Special events at Bucks County Museum this Easter

This Easter holiday there are some fantastic special events for all the family to enjoy at Bucks County Museum from theatre in the museum garden to family craft activities, rock and fossil day to a special Easter re-enactment of Stuart life.

Saturday 6 April, 2pm – 5pm

Japanese Craft Activities
9, 10 &
11 April, 10am - 12 noon & 1pm - 3pm
Come along and try some Japanese themed crafts inspired by our new exhibition about Samurai warriors. Drop in between 10am and 12 noon or 1pm and 3pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost from £4.

Rock and Fossil Day
Saturday 13 April, 11am – 4pm
Explore hands-on displays of rocks and fossils, meet experts and bring along your own specimens for identification. Fossil fun for all ages. Entry by donation.

Get ready for Easter with our special Easter crafts. Drop in between 10am and 12 noon or 1pm and 3pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost from £4.

Origami Craft Activities

Get creative with origami, the Japanese art of paper folding, inspired by our new exhibition about Samurai warriors. Drop in between 10am and 12 noon or 1pm and 3pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost from £4.

Easter in the Stuart Household

Come and help the Stuart Household celebrate Easter in the early 1600s when James 1 is about to become King of England – help the household members and their servants prepare the household and get ready for their Feast. Family activities. Entry by donation.
