Helpful Heroes day for families – emergency services staff and volunteers will be coming in to talk to children and families about first aid, present basic first aid and CPR skills, demo the vehicles, equipment & uniforms. Thursday 30th May 2pm Includes a picture hunt, activities and a chance to test what they’ve learnt.

 

Tuesday 28th May, at 11 o’clock - Elmer the Patchwork Elephant’s 30th Birthday Party with crafts, stories and dressing up! Booking essential. 50p per child to cover materials.

 

Pyjamarama – a Bedtime Story event for children and families is on Friday 7th June at 5.30. Come along dressed in your onesie or PJs,  bring a favourite bedtime toy to enjoy some fun, interactive stories before bed. FREE!!!  Please book if you can!

 

Also there is a Dementia coffee and tea session being hosted in the library by the organisation Home Instead on Thursday May 16th, between 11 and 2. The Lindengate Memory Pathways co-ordinator will be present to engage with people and there will be a few stalls. This is to commemorate Dementia awareness week. There will be Reminiscence materials from the Library collection and books for people to browse.
