Wendover Woods hosts a 10k run as part of a brand new running series through the forests of England

Wendover Woods
30th June 2019

With its incredible views across the Chilterns, Wendover Woods is one of 16 sites chosen to be part of the Forestry 100 Running Series, celebrating one hundred years of forestry. Each 10km route boasts its individual features to keep you on your toes, but also to celebrate the unique characteristics of the nation’s forests.

On Sunday 30th June, runners will take on Wendover’s spectacular 10k route with a variety of picturesque views and landscapes, sure to provide a sense of freedom around every corner. Descend in to the depths of the forest amongst the Norway Spruce and enjoy the unforgettable scenery that is reminiscent of European forestry.

Look out for red kites whilst taking on the challenging climb as you approach the ancient Boddington Hillfort, sure to take your breath away. Whether you walk, jog or run the 10k route, all participants are guaranteed to experience Wendover Woods at its best.  Finishers will receive a special commemorative wooden medal and there will be trophies and prizes on offer for the first finishers.

No matter what your level of fitness, join us in our centenary celebrations with a 10k forest run that you won’t forget.  Find out more at forestryengland.uk/run100.
