Ivan R Cammack Optometrist is one of only five candidates to reach the final stages of the Dry Eye Award category at the 2013 Optician Awards. The winner will be announced at an exclusive awards ceremony on 13th April.

BBOWT comment on the HS2 Judicial Review

The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is very disappointed that the High Court has sided with the Government in ruling that the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Directive does not apply to HS2. The High Court has also rejected the Government’s claim that it had, in practice, complied with the requirements of the SEA. This leaves an opportunity to appeal against the judgement.

HS2 Judicial Review results likely on Friday

According to press reports, judgements in the five legal cases brought against the Government over HS2 at the High Court in December are expected on Friday 15 March.

Project 500 – More Women, Better Coaching: A Building Block for Olympic Legacy

Project 500 is a new campaign to address the imbalance in the number of male to female coaches, creating a more diverse workforce to drive the growth of female participation in sport. Devised in by Sport Hampshire & IOW (SHIOW) and delivered in partnership with Bucks and Milton Keynes Sports Partnership, Oxfordshire Sport Partnership, Get Berkshire Active, Active Surrey, Active Sussex, Kent Sport and Physical Activity Service and sports coach UK, Project 500 will see a combined five hundred female coaches recruited, developed and deployed across the seven South East counties between April 2013 and March 2015.

Paintings to auction for Clock Tower
