Imagez Camera Club, Weston Turville

On Tuesday the 23rd of May, ImageZ Camera Club (Weston Turville) held their Dinner and Presentation night at the Shoulder of Mutton in Wendover.

The club has had its Challenge Cup championship rounds throughout the winter/spring season, each of which are judged by regional club judges. After five rounds on various pre-selected themes and open rounds, Chenxi Ni has had a wonderful season coming top in the themed rounds and winning the overall competition. Kathy Chantler was the winner of the open competition.

Chenxi Ni received the club’s Challenge Trophy which he will hold for a year and the cup for him to keep.

The club also had four ‘Winner on the Night’ competitions and trophy shields were awarded to the winners, Steve Beckett (two wins), John Timbrell and Mike Ashcroft.

The Weston Turville based camera club continues to go from strength to strength. They are the only photography club in the Aylesbury area and meet every Tuesday during the winter/spring period at the Weston Turville Village Hall. The club helps people to improve their photography at any level. Club meetings include guest speakers, practical sessions, courses on cameras, Photoshop software, critique nights, members’ talks as well as competitions. This coming September it is hoped to start basic classes on photography for new members at the Weston Turville Village Hall.

During the summer, as a group the club meet at various locations once a fortnight, the first is at Lindengate in Wendover in June. Find out more details from the club website, new members are always welcome. If anybody
