After one hot summer break we are raring to go for our 2018/19 season. But before we launch into the new, let’s have a recap of our very active summer.

On Saturday 4th August we hosted our ever popular and highly anticipated 5 a side tournament. 168 players attended the event with an ex WFC player and local lad Dan Jones’ team coming out victorious. We were delighted to have The Works selling us delicious ice cream and King’s Farm burgers on sale.  Our raffle was once again a roaring success with DW Sports and many local businesses including The George & Dragon and South Street Barbers donating prizes. This year we chose The Puzzle Centre as our charity beneficiary which is a cause very close to our hearts. We were able to raise over £1000 for them both prior and on the day with donations still coming in to our Just Giving Page. The team at Puzzle are extremely grateful for all the support from our wonderful community.

Now to the season ahead. We kicked off the new season on the 1st September with our first team hoping to defend the ADL League Cup and attempting to regain the prestigious Oving Village Cup. Our First Team begin the season in the Premier Division and the Reserves in Division One. For all fixtures and juicy match reports, please visit our Facebook page.

Lastly, we are still on the hunt for Managers for both our teams and also remain open to any individuals who are interested in representing their village. Drop us a message on Facebook or pop down to see the club in action on a match day.
