Wendover Sparrowhawks – January Update
As Christmas approaches the Sparrowhawks are in a celebratory mood having just held their Annual General Meeting. Last year’s committee was re-elected with some additional members joining the team. The Club are so grateful to all of the Committee for their continued dedication and support but a special thanks has to go to the Chairwoman, Lucy “The Goose” Adler, without whom the Club would not be where it is today.
As discussed at the AGM the Junior Club is the main focus for the coming year and we are excited to invite any 14-16 year old netballers to get in touch for more information (wendoverladiesnetball@hotmail.com).
Meanwhile, the ladies team have reached their mid season break and are holding a respectable third place in the league. Merriment was had by all in celebration of this fact as the Sparrowhawks and Wendover FC Towers came together for their inaugural Christmas party. We hope to continue this special relationship for many Christmas’ to come!
As usual, training continues through the winter months on the tennis courts next to The Hub at Aston Clinton, Thursday 18.30-19.45. We hope to see you there!
