Horatio’s Garden, Stoke Mandeville, Open Day

Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville is a beautiful, vibrant, fully accessible garden at the National Spinal Injuries Centre in Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Designed by two-time RHS Chelsea gold medal winner, Joe Swift, Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville is a private garden for people affected by spinal injury, so this is a rare opportunity to visit the restorative sanctuary. The garden features secluded areas surrounded by nature, highly perennial and wildlife friendly planting for all-year round colour, a light and airy garden room, communal space for gatherings and seasonal events, raised beds filled with flowers and edibles, and a fully accessible Griffin Glasshouse.

Tickets cost £5 per adult, children are welcome for free. Tickets can be booked online here, or can be bought at the garden gate on the day. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the National Garden Scheme, who are the single largest funder of Horatio’s Garden.
