John Lewis and The Story Museum have partnered together to create a most unusual shopping experience at their Oxford store in the Westgate Centre. The Little Shop of Stories will be running free interactive storytelling sessions to shoppers in Oxford.
The Little Shop of Stories is a fictional pop up shop complete with Victorian style shop front beautifully realised by acclaimed theatre design company Vortex Creates. At The Little Shop of Stories, families will find magical ‘Once Upon A Time’ story sacks full of unusual and unexpected items, each one linked to a story. Appearing under the stunning roses installation on the Ground floor of John Lewis, children of all ages can enjoy a story every Wednesday and the first Saturday of each month delivered by The Story Museum’s team of expert Story Guides. Stories featured in the sessions will include well known favourites that children and parents will be familiar with, as well as stories from around the world, that may be new to many families.
