The Aylesbury Road site was first offered to Wendover Baptists because their building from 1649 was in need of refurbishment. Instead, Father Arnold Sloots bought it for a Roman Catholic Church in the mid-1950s. The Foundation Stone was laid in May 1961 but lockdown prevented a proper celebration last year. Instead, an anniversary garden was laid out for use by the community of Wendover.

In the 1980s the Baptists (London Road) and the United Reform Church (Tring Road), came together and entered into a sharing agreement with the Catholics.
