24 hour paint-a-thon
Local artist Sally Prendergast will complete an oil painting over a single 24-hour period, to raise funds for St Nicholas Church, Great Kimble. She will be sponsored to complete the task; the painting will later be auctioned and prints will be available.
She will begin in the church at 10am on Saturday 20th August, working continuously on a portrait until it’s completed the following morning. Sally’s paintings often take several weeks to complete, so this is a huge personal challenge.
St Nicholas Church is Grade 1 listed and of historical interest. The reordering project will open up the nave for use by the local school and wider community as well as providing a toilet, servery, new flooring, heating and lighting.
