33 years and still going strong

Would you like to become more involved with Wendover News?
We are looking for new people to help us develop Wendover News as a community news magazine and make it accessible to more readers including using different formats. This would involve social media and marketing. If you are interested in joining the editorial team for this paid position, hours TBD, please contact:

Jane Larkham, editor,
Wendover News, 1 Robert Mews,
behind 11 High Street, Wendover HP22 6DU
telephone: 01296 624270
email: editor@wendovernews.co.uk

We are also reviewing the status of the company Wendover News Ltd. If you are interested in the ownership of Wendover News, please contact us as above. Wendover News is exploring the possibility of a more community incorporated entity. Again, please contact us as above.

Wendover News has been blessed with a very strong and loyal team of volunteer deliverers for many years, since readers wanted to make sure they and their neighbours received their copy every month.

If deliverers are no longer able to continue we are always happy to recruit anew. At the moment, the main areas we need deliverers are in Barlow Road and nearby, and Princess Mary Gate. If you would like to deliver 20 or 30 copies to your near neighbours (you can volunteer for more if you’d like more exercise!) please get in touch, details above. If you live in Dunsmore and would like to deliver, please get in touch! Also, if you live in Weston Turville and do not receive a copy, do you know anyone who lives nearby who could deliver to you? By popular demand, Wendover News is also available from some outlets in Aston Clinton and Stoke Mandeville Village.

The first print edition appeared in September 1989 and since then Wendover News has gone from strength to strength, expanding the number of pages and therefore the subjects covered. Regular sections include Events, Local News, Club Corner, Schools, Youth, HS2 (from various viewpoints), Tribute, Local Face and Matters Arising which features information from Wendover Parish Council. Articles are submitted by clubs, societies and individuals. Are you aware of any section of local life which should be given more coverage than it has already?
