Advancing Practice conference offers broad programme for delegates
Around 3,000 delegates are expected to join HEE’s Centre for Advancing Practice annual conference next week – the biggest event of its kind to date.
The theme of this year’s gathering, on 7 and 10 November, is ‘Empowering People, Transforming Care’.
The virtual conference will be livestreamed from Birmingham and the programme includes a host of talks, workshops and networking sessions which will be recorded for sharing post-event.
Dr Julian Barratt, who leads the Centre for Advancing Practice, said: “This year’s conference encompasses and reflects a huge range of the issues which colleagues working in Advancing Practice encounter as part of their day-to-day activities.
“It promises to be informative, thought-provoking and also, we hope, fun.”
The conference will also see the launch of a new quarterly journal partnered by HEE and MA Healthcare. The International Journal for Advancing Practice will be the only dedicated peer-reviewed journal for all areas of multi-professional advanced practice across health and care.
Further details of the journal will be announced in due course.
