Anniversary Draw winner has a year of treats lined up

The top prize winner of 32,500 in The Hospice Lottery Partnership’s 20th Anniversary Bonus Draw, Mr E, has big plans for his winnings. He is looking forward to having a family party when his son from New Zealand visits in August, and with a total of 11 grandchildren across the family it will be quite the party!

He is also planning on having a celebratory party with his neighbours. As well as the odd treat in June when he goes on a pre-planned trip to the RAF Association Hotel in Weston Super-Mare.

Mr E also very generously donated £250 of his winnings to us, which is a wonderful gesture and money that will be very gratefully received by the Hospice Partners.

Of winning he said:

“Hospices do such a fantastic job of looking after people, and playing the weekly lottery seemed like a good idea to help support their care. It was a very unexpected surprise to hear I had won the top prize of £2,500.”

Hospice Lottery supporters have been raising funds through the weekly draw and bi-annual Superdraws since the first draw in 1998 and have funded over £10 million of hospice care to date.
