Apprentice Award Evening at Aylesbury College

Aylesbury College has been celebrating the success of some of its most outstanding apprentices. The apprenticeship awards evening was attended by over 50 students, staff and local employers.

The event was part of the ninth annual National Apprenticeship Week, which took place from 14-18 March 2016, with hundreds of events taking place across England. The week, which is co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service, is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the economy.

Aylesbury College Principal and Chief Executive Karen Mitchell, pictured with some of the award winners, said: “It is so inspiring to meet these young award winners who are working so hard to develop themselves while making such a positive impact on their employers. As the largest provider of apprenticeship training in Bucks, Aylesbury College is very proud of the achievements of all our apprentices.”

Awards were also made to local employers who have given outstanding support to their apprentices and trainees with Stoke Mandeville Auto Centre, Tiggywinkles and Fowler Electrical receiving awards.
