Art Show Pops Up again in the Chilterns

The Chilterns MS Centre will be showcasing the best of local art during their annual Pop-Up Art Weekend on 7 & 8 March 2020.

The event is free to attend and visitors will be welcomed by a range of artwork, from paintings, photographs, ceramics, jewellery, sculptures and much more.  There will be over 90 artists exhibiting, including Graham Fraser, a member of the Wendover Art Group.  He takes his inspiration from wonderful outdoor scenery, both in the UK and abroad, and loves to capture subtle tones of light.  His stunning picture of Chania in Crete is a fantastic example of his work and features on this year’s event advertising.  He has also generously donated it to the Centre for auction.

With live demonstrations, a range of refreshments, light lunches, cakes and greetings cards there will be plenty to see and do.  Details on the event and all of the artists taking part will be available at popupartweekend.org.uk.

The Centre provides a range of treatments, therapies and social activities to over 570 people living with MS in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas to help them gain greater control over their symptoms and live a healthier and happier life.  To date over 3,000 hours of treatment has been funded by the event, with £113,000 raised in the past 15 years.

Hannah Prentice, Community Fundraiser at the Chilterns MS Centre, said: “We can’t wait to transform the Chilterns MS Centre into a Pop-Up Art Exhibition again, and hope that the community join us to celebrate the work of local artists and raise money for the charity at the same time.  There will be some amazing artwork available, from a variety of different genres – so there is something for everyone.  We’re very fortunate that Michael Anthony will be sponsoring the event again this year and we look forward to working with Michael and the team to make this our biggest event yet!
