Ashridge Home Care is 2!
Ashridge Home Care from Amersham, Buckinghamshire, celebrated its 2nd anniversary this month.
Ashridge Home Care, a family business set up and run by Trudi Scrivener, and supported by a team of dedicated and experienced staff. Trudi Scrivener, founder: “When I set up Ashridge Home Care in 2017, I wanted it to provide a care service to our clients that I would want myself. That’s exactly what we have achieved.
“All our collaborators have worked extremely hard and have led the live in care business to considerable success and popularity, creating a strong local and regional reputation for caring for older people across Buckinghamshire and beyond.
“Our next goal moving into our third year is to continue working towards achieving an ‘outstanding’ CQC rating, but more importantly to make sure that the feedback our carers and clients provide continues to be as positive as it has been for the last 2 years.”
With over 30 years’ experience in home care and dementia care services, their entire working lives have been within the care sector. Drawing on their experience both professionally and personally, they knew that they could do it better, providing a service their clients need and want.
Caring for others can be both physically and emotionally demanding. Amy Collins, winner of “The Outstanding Carer Award 2018”, explains: “It’s such an important part of people’s lives and I love the variation of the job, helping people in any way possible whether that be chef, gardener, cleaner, postman or companion! I love it that it gives me the opportunity to become friends with someone regardless of the age gap.”
Ashridge Home Care is committed to raising awareness of live in care as a superior alternative to residential care. Trudi adds: “Through our work with the Live-in Care Hub, the message is starting to spread, and people are taking more time to consider their options. Our national involvement in raising awareness of live-in home care is having a positive effect on the industry, as we are dedicated to raising the standards of care provided to people in their own homes.”
Choosing the right care for a loved one can be daunting. A family member may need more support than you can provide but feel anxious at the thought of living in a residential care home. However, there is a real alternative. Ageing in our own home – in a safe , friendly and therapeutic environment – is the oldest and most respected form of social care. Live-in care, still little known, but fast increasing in popularity, can provide the perfect solution.
