Founder Trudi Scrivener commented: “You only have to switch on your TV or read your news channel online to hear about the crisis we are all facing in dealing with our older relatives or more vulnerable sectors of society. Our model of social care in the UK is broken and thousands of people are waiting for assessments of their current provision or can not access the help they require to live comfortably. My carers and support staff work hard to help our customers and I am delighted that we have been shortlisted in these national awards which recognise their efforts. It is so important to applaud the efforts of those working hard and shine the spotlight on the care sector.”
The Home Care Awards are recognised within the social care sector as the annual benchmark for UK companies and organisations providing all forms of care at home services. The business of home care is growing fast in the UK and these awards highlight outstanding examples of hard work and dedication.
Trudi continued: “Awards like this are great but ultimately long-term reform is required to tackle the problems faced in the care sector. Attracting the right calibre of staff and rewarding them appropriately are both key issues that need to be addressed. As a private family-owned business we will continue to support and train our carers and make the career as attractive as possible whilst ensuring our clients receive first class care.”
Award winners will be announced at a ceremony on March 22nd 2023.
