Friday night saw celebrations for live-in and visiting home care provider Ashridge Home Care.  The Amersham based company won the sought after Best Employer Award at the National SME Awards ceremony (Small Medium sized Enterprises) at a prestigious awards ceremony held in Wembley Stadium on Friday 3rd December.

This is the fifth consecutive year of the National Small Medium Enterprise Awards held at a glittering finale at London’s Wembley Stadium. All entries are judged by a panel of four judges and Ashridge Home Care beat off stiff competition by the likes of Dynamite Recruitment Solutions and Gov Grant amongst others.

Founder Trudi Scrivener said:  “This is such a fantastic win for us.  This award is a testament to everything we have done to value and look after our care staff. We believe we have created an energising and rewarding place to work and just as we treat our clients as individuals, we also treat our carers with the same personal approach. Well done Team Ashridge!! The past two years have been the most challenging years of the business yet as the public is recognising that home care really is the best model to look after the elderly and vulnerable of society.  It is good to see that this sector is now getting the recognition it deserves.  I would urge anyone considering a new career option for the year 2022 to get in touch.  No qualifications are necessary just the right can do and caring attitude towards life.”

Ashridge Home Care is built upon the philosophy that in looking after its carers, they in turn will look after their clients.  Ashridge is a family of carers and those family values lie at the heart of its care. With a 10/10 rating on homecare.co.uk, the UK’s leading care provider website, this privately owned company has created a caring culture that invests in its staff who feel valued and supported. Its founder Trudi Scrivener is heavily involved in the company and leads by example.  She runs an expanding head office team of ten and employs over 100 full and part-time carers.  Ashridge is one of the few care companies in the UK to offer both visiting hourly care as well as 24 hour live-in care and has won numerous accolades, especially in the past 18 months.

The awards ceremony on Friday night was a rare opportunity for the team to dress up and celebrate its hard work.  This is one of the busiest times of the year for Ashridge carers as the dark and cold winter months drive inquiries from families who can’t see their loved ones and want to ensure they are properly cared for.

Visiting Carer Sarah O’Donnell joined the team at the Awards Ceremony on Friday evening at Wembley Stadium.  Sarah said: “We had a fabulous night, just being in the finals was exciting enough but to be part of the winning team was amazing.  Working as a carer at Ashridge Home Care has given me first hand experience of what a great employer they are.  A care company who truly do care about their staff and go above and beyond to make sure we are looked after and supported.”

As a multi-award-winning care provider with over 30 years’ experience, Ashridge Home Care has the capacity to provide skilled, conscientious, and friendly carers to deliver safe one-to-one care to vulnerable and elderly individuals in the comfort of their own home.
