Aylesbury United Ladies & Girls FC – Recruiting Now for 2017/2018 Season
With almost three million girls and women now actively playing football in England, interest in the female game has never been greater. If you are interested in playing or coaching football, local club Aylesbury United Ladies & Girls FC are recruiting for the 2017/2018 season.
Formed at the start of the 2014/15 season by the merger of Aylesbury United Ladies and local junior side Vale Reds FC, the Club’s goal is to provide girls’ and women’s football to as many players as possible from Aylesbury and the surrounding areas, regardless of background or ability.
“As an FA Charter Standard Club,” says Chairperson and Ladies player Debs Hewes, “all our coaches are dedicated to growing grassroots football and helping players realise their personal and sporting potential.” The Club are also keen to promote the social and community benefits of playing football. “We have participated in the Mix 96 Tour de Vale, Aylesbury Santa Dash and other charity events,” says Debs. “We also organise regular social events such as trips to the panto and bowling, and next year we will be going to Wembley to watch the Women’s FA Cup Final.”
The Club have recently signed up to be a Sister Club of FA Women’s Super League 1 team Reading FC Women. The partnership gives the Club access to a range of benefits including player appearances, coaching sessions and discounted tickets to watch home matches at Adams Park.
