Aylesbury Waterside Theatre proud sponsors of the town’s first Pride in the Park event

Aylesbury Waterside Theatre is proud to be sponsoring the town’s first Pride in the Park event, part of Aylesbury Town Council’s Parklife Weekend on Fri 23 Aug at Vale Park. The historic event will be organised by Aylesbury Community Pride and will celebrate unity, diversity and entertainment.

The community is invited to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community across a number of Pride in the Park stages and the event is free to attend. The main stage will host a dynamic lineup of performances from both local and renowned acts, including traditional drag, musical performances and more. The full line-up is to be announced later this summer.

Theatre Director of Aylesbury Waterside, Grant Brisland, said: “Aylesbury Waterside Theatre is proud to be the main sponsor of our town’s first ever Pride celebration. As a team we believe in and promote inclusivity, acceptance, and equality for all. Our partnership will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and their allies in an occasion that brings greater visibility and awareness. We’re honoured to stand shoulder-to-shoulder and helping to get the party started.”

Aylesbury Community Pride is a volunteer-run organisation by a team of Aylesbury residents. Its mission is to boost viability, empathy and celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in Aylesbury. Attendees will be able to explore the Bucks Radio Discovery Stage which will feature local talent and emerging artists, and there will be a chance to engage in insightful discussions at the Always Forward Marquee. A Community Engagement Area will provide an opportunity for attendees to connect with local charities and organisations, fostering connections and support within the community, including a live talk show podcast.
