BBOWT Chilterns Group Strikes a New Chord
Our programme of indoor winter events at Great Missenden Memorial Centre reaches its grand finale on 19 March at 7.45pm. For one night only and for a modest £5 entrance donation you can enjoy an evening of informal entertainment inspired by the seasons of the year. ‘The Rhythm of Nature’ will include music, song, poetry and prose readings for all tastes but please book online at www.bbowt.org.uk as tickets are limited by the capacity of the hall. Music will be courtesy of The Wick Trimmers, the well known folk group from Prestwood, tea, coffee and parking are free and there’ll be a cash wine bar.
This is an important month for conservation work which has to be completed before the nesting season. So if you’d like to try your hand contact steve_keene@btinternet.com to join a Bacombe Hill work party on Thursday 14 March, judiandbryan@yahoo.co.uk for Dancersend on Sunday 10 March and staceyhewitt@bbowt.org.uk for Weston Turville Reservoir on Thursday 28 March. There are walks and other events at College Lake nature reserve throughout the month and the visitor centre is open every day – go online for details.
