BBOWT Wildlife Activities in March 2022

From 22 February College Lake Reserve and Visitor Centre (HP23 5QG) will be open from Tuesday to Sunday every week until October half term. The gates will be open from 10.00 till 16.30 and all are welcome. As you enter, a small donation to BBOWT is appreciated as this is one of 90 reserves we keep available to the public. The café and shop welcome visitors with new items on the menu and new articles on the shelves. We shall also be open on Easter Bank Holiday Monday.

Zoom talks this month include ‘Wildlife on your Doorstep’ at 7.30pm on Thursday 3 March, and ‘Know your local Wildlife’ at 7.30pm on Thursday 10 March. There will be a live talk at Great Missenden Memorial Centre (HP16 9AE) at 7.45 pm on Tuesday 15 March when John Tyler will instruct us on ‘Reading the Countryside,’ following this up with a field trip at Dancersend on Saturday 19 March. For full details and booking go to bbowt.org.uk/events.

Keep an eye on the events website for final details of local wildlife walks and the Spring Plant and Produce Market which is expected to be in early May. Successful fundraising here depends on members of the public kindly supplying plants from their gardens, potted up and named. We can collect if you like – please contact richard.catton1@ntlworld.com.
