Be Your Own Boss is a start-up business support service delivered by Buckinghamshire Business First and funded by Buckinghamshire Council’s Community Boards, that can help you develop the skills you need in order to turn your business idea into a reality. Be Your Own Boss can also help you make useful contacts and connections.

Philippa Batting, Managing Director, Buckinghamshire Business First, said: “Now is a great time to consider starting up your own business which can lead to a new exciting phase for your career. While this can seem daunting, there is support every step of the way, from assessing a business idea to finding potential customers and making sales and everything in between.”

Philippa continued: “Buckinghamshire has always had a high rate of start-up businesses. As we now look to build back better and stronger from the effects of the last few years, the Be Your Own Boss support helps ensure that every business that can succeed does so, and that every person with a business dream is able to access the advice and guidance they need to be successful.”

Following her attendance at one of the Be Your Own Boss sessions, Natalie Fleming from start-up business NMF Consulting, said: “I found the session very informative and the suggestions were excellent in helping me to take a different view of issues such as marketing and awareness, and also how to develop my Business Plan.”

Accessing the support on offer is simple and events are running through 2022. To find out more and book your place, please visit: www.bbf.uk.com/byob-book
