Beeches Community Board reflects back and focuses forward at latest meeting
The latest meeting of Beeches Community Board on Wednesday (30 June), gave the opportunity to look back at the first 12 months and also plan ahead for the coming year.
Looking back at the past year, board members reviewed how well the board had integrated itself into the local community. Nineteen projects and initiatives, from supporting foodbanks to improving road safety, were funded through the community board budget. The board also match-funded a joint, Be Your Own Boss project with several other community boards and Bucks Business First.
For the coming year, the board agreed on the action groups (formerly known as sub-groups) that will be set up to focus on the priorities for 2021/22:
- Improving the Environment
- Supporting Economic Recovery
- Infrastructure & Highways
- Wellbeing (bringing together the work of the previous Older and Vulnerable People sub-group and the Young People sub-group)
Local groups and organisations are invited to submit applications for funding for projects and initiatives that fit into the board’s priority areas for next year. More than £277k is available. For more information contact: beechescb@buckinghamshire.gov.uk
