Bletchley Park celebrates key anniversary
Today marked the 25th anniversary of the Veterans’ tea-party that began the campaign to save the site from demolition.
To mark this key date in the history of the region’s leading heritage attraction, the first 25 people through the door this morning received free day passes. They are pictured with historians Rowena Westcombe, Sue and Peter Jarvis, who organised the event on 19 October, 1991.
The latest edition of the Bletchley Park Podcast, released today, focuses on the party and includes audio footage taken on the day in 1991. To listen to the podcast visit www.bletchleypark.org.uk/podcast/
