Battle of Britain Commemorations at RAF Halton

RAF HALTON COMMEMORATE THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN

To commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain and to raise money for the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) the Station cinema hosted the Battle of Britain film which was attended and enjoyed by around 100 recruits from Thompson Intake, Recruit Training Squadron.

BREW FOR THE FEW

Sgt Tony Murray from Recruit Training Squadron reported: “The Royal Air Force Liaison team hosted the ‘Brew for the Few’ coffee and cake event in the Burnett Gym at RAF Halton. The event attended by the Station Commander and many other Station personnel was a success and a special mention must go to the members of the Joint Information Activities Group (JIAG) who seem to have eaten most of the cake. All money raised was to support RAFA in recognition of the determination and sacrifice that “The Few” made in order to secure the ultimate win in the Battle of Britain. Both events raised a substantial £390.51, so a massive thank you to all who supported us.”
