Buckinghamshire celebrates A Level results

Anita Cranmer, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills

With thousands of young people receiving their A Level and BTEC results today (Thursday 15 August) Anita Cranmer, Buckinghamshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, is taking the opportunity to send her best wishes to all students on their hard work and achievements.

Anita said: “I’d like to say good luck to every young person across the county who is collecting their results today. It’s a nerve-wracking moment when you open that envelope after all the hard work of study and revision – I still remember it now!

“If it’s good news and you’ve received the results you wanted, many congratulations. If you haven’t made final plans or you don’t receive the results you’d hoped for, don’t worry – there are plenty of options and advice available for you. Talk to your teachers, your family and friends and look at the resources available online.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful teachers, school leaders and governors for all their hard work and support to help our students achieve.

“Whatever happens on results day I’d like to wish all students the very best for the future as they look ahead and make decisions about their next steps.”

More detailed performance information will be available later in the year.
