Buckmoorend Farm Shop
Buckmoorend Farm Shop will be opening on Wednesday 23rd March in time for Easter weekend.
Hoping for a visit from the Camerons.
Located astride the Ridgeway path on the beautiful Chequers Estate at Butlers Cross in the rolling Chiltern Hills, the shop will specialise in quality beef, lamb and pork that is fresh, tasty and rich in nutrients straight from the farm.
The shop will sell carefully selected local produce too including sweet and savoury biscuits from Just Biscuits in Stoke Mandeville, salami and chorizo from The Merry Pig in Wendover, sausage rolls plus scotch eggs from Kirsty’s Kitchen of Long Crendon, healthy breakfast cereals from Chiltern Natural Foods and fresh organic veg from Sandy Lane Farm near Thame.
The farm is on the edge of the main park that houses the Prime Minister’s country residence and Steph and Daniel Hares hope that David and Samantha Cameron will be popping in. “He seems to have a genuine interest in the agricultural industry, and takes notice of what we do here,” says third generation farmer Daniel. He adds about the new shop: “Animal welfare, food miles and non-intensive farming methods are vitally important to all of us and we want to share our values and the quality of our produce with a wider audience.”
The shop will be open Easter weekend (except Monday) including Good Friday 10am – 4pm.
