Survey reveals Bucks residents associate Barratt with being a long standing British business

As this year marks the 60th anniversary of Barratt Developments, a recent survey has revealed 36% of people in Buckinghamshire say they associate the well-known brand with being a long standing British business.

Other qualities attributed to the brand included them being a five star builder, value for money and being reliable.

Ensuring confidence to its buyers across the country, the national housebuilder has built more than 450,000 homes over the last six decades and is the only developer to have been given the maximum five star rating in the HBF survey for nine years running.

Barratt was founded by Sir Lawrie Barratt back in 1958 and it has rapidly grown to become the UK’s largest housebuilder, building more than 17,500 homes last year.

Andrew Swindell, Managing Director at Barratt Homes Northampton, said: “2018 is a really special year for us as it’s our 60th anniversary, so we decided to conduct this survey to see what people associated our brand with.

“It’s incredible to think that we have helped so many families across Buckinghamshire and throughout the country. We’re looking forward to continuing to build many more five star homes over the next 60 years.”
