Bumper Mother’s Day at Leighton Buzzard Railway
The Leighton Buzzard Railway’s centenary year continued with a successful Mother’s Day event on Sunday 31st March.
Every mother travelling on the day was treated to a free goody bag, containing chocolates, flowers and more, as well as a free family printed photo to take home as a memento of the day. In addition, cream teas were available to purchase in the Buzzrail Café.
Six departures operated throughout the day between Page’s Park and Stonehenge Works, alternately hauled by the railway’s two largest locomotives – 778 and Pedemoura.
The next event at the railway is the annual Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday and Monday 21st and 22nd April. There will be a range of festive activities for children, including a chocolate search at Stonehenge Works, Golden Tickets to find – exchangeable for a large egg upon their return to Page’s Park, and free chocolates for all children. Details, as well as fee-free online booking, can be found at www.buzzrail.co.uk.
