Business focus in the daily council video update
How a local business has been swift to adapt to change during the coronavirus emergency, and the future outlook for business, are highlighted in today’s (Monday) daily video update (Vlog) from Buckinghamshire Council Leader Martin Tett.
Joining Martin is Bonnie May, Operations Director of the Chesham-based Global Infusion Group, specialists in hospitality, catering and event services. Bonnie talks about the challenges they have faced as the Covid-19 crisis gripped, and the outlook now that lockdown restrictions are being eased.
When the crisis hit and the company lost location catering business as events were cancelled, it instead sprang into action to support the NHS, catering for 15 NHS sites across Buckinghamshire by providing more than 1,000 meals a day. The company also provided catering to Cardiff’s Covid-19 hospital..
Bonnie talks about the future as a “new normal”. She says: “We’re going to very much have to adapt and change what hospitality looks like – very much a new normal.”
