Businesses in Bucks supported on their Net Zero journey

It is no secret that businesses that set out to achieve Net Zero status will naturally spend less on energy bills, which is great for the planet and for business. A new initiative, the Net Zero Bucks: Energy Resilience Programme, is helping businesses in Bucks to achieve this.

Designed to help businesses reduce their costs and develop an energy resilience plan, the programme is funded via Buckinghamshire Council and the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered by Buckinghamshire Business First and Auditel.

Daniel Cope, Climate Change Programme Manager at Ngage Solutions, said: “We know it can be hard for businesses to find the time during their day-to-day activities to start the journey to Net Zero and identify where savings can be made. However, Buckinghamshire Business First is here to help having worked with hundreds of organisations to measure their carbon footprint and create an energy resilience plan.”

Daniel added: “The new Energy Resilience Programme makes it easier for businesses to identify cost savings and reduce their carbon emissions with the help of our team of experts.”

The initiative means that organisations in key areas of Buckinghamshire are eligible to receive a free ‘Carbon Footprint and Energy Resilience Plan’ and access to specialist support valued at more than £2,000.

Businesses can get involved in this limited-time opportunity, by completing a quick expression of interest form online, available at www.bbf.uk.com/business-support/net-zero-bucks-energy-resilience-programme and a member of the Net Zero Bucks Energy Resilience Team will be in contact to help guide them through the process.

Small and medium-sized enterprises with up to 250 employees who are based in the following wards of Buckinghamshire are eligible to apply: Booker, Cressex, and Castlefield; Totteridge & Bowerdean; Ryemead & Micklefield; Abbey; Terriers & Amersham Hill; West Wycombe; Aylesbury South West; Aylesbury North West; Aylesbury North; and Chesham.
