Children in Need at RAF Halton
Trinity Community Centre staff have again held a bucket collection on the gates of RAF Halton for Children In Need, and afterwards held a coffee, cake and bacon buttie café.
Flt Sgt Ellie Wileen, HIVE lady Shirley Cousins and Station welfare assistant, Janice Holdsworth, dressed up to extract money from personnel for the cause.
Ellie said: “I would like to thank you all sooooo much for all your help with Children in Need.. I have counted all the money in buckets and from Café Morning and our total so far is £470 .. THANK YOU!!!
We have had some lovely raffle prizes and Squadron Leader Ali Sanderman donated some of high value so we are putting them on the hub page for bids as one in particular is worth £90! So therefore I calculate that with these bids pending, our approximate total should be well over £500.”
