Celebrate in Buckinghamshire – and use our pioneering digital wedding planner
Christmas may be over but it’s a very Happy New Year for many couples with marriage proposals traditionally peaking over the festive period. It means it’s a busy time for Buckinghamshire Registration Service which conducted marriages and civil partnerships for more than 1800 couples last year – and 2019 is already showing no sign of slowing down.
Lots of couples are starting to plan their wedding or civil partnership and can now make use of the exclusive online service offered by Buckinghamshire County Council’s Registrars.
Over the last year the County Council’s Registration Service has worked tirelessly to get their innovative online wedding service – “Celebrate in Buckinghamshire” – up and running.
Many couples have told us that planning their wedding or civil partnership can be difficult while juggling other commitments. Now everything is online they can easily find what they need and can manage their ceremony preferences 24/7. All the information is in one place, from the county’s stunning venue options, to searching for various local suppliers, to even planning the ceremony itself online as from this month couples will be able to use a brand new digital ceremony planning tool too.
There is no better place to marry than in Buckinghamshire which has many fantastic venues for every taste and budget. There is a location to suit all, from grand stately homes and manor houses to small intimate settings; whatever your choice and style. Here, people can choose between the splendour of Waddesdon Manor or Cliveden House, the unique setting of the Buckinghamshire Railway Museum and even the atmospheric West Wycombe Caves – to name just four of more than 80 licensed venues across the county.
Noel Brown is the County Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Engagement and Public Health.
He says:
“We’ve worked really hard to make life as easy as possible for couples planning their wedding or civil partnership. We’ve simplified the options to offer special ‘packages’ and the value for money is exceptional.
Anyone who knows Buckinghamshire knows we have a wealth of outstanding wedding venues from stately homes, museums, hotels and even outdoor options.
I’m really proud too that our Registrars go out of their way to make the day as perfect as possible for the celebrating couple. We will do everything we can to fulfil any special requests couples may have and we know just how important it is that the day runs smoothly.”
Andy Steele and Garfield Simpson got married at Cliveden House last summer.
Andy says it was the perfect location for their wedding:
“Buckinghamshire gave us an idyllic and beautiful English countryside setting for our wedding. If you’re going to get married and want to do it somewhere beautiful in that kind of setting there’s no better county or venue – it’s gorgeous. We travelled from London too and it’s really close to London, it didn’t take long at all to get there.”
Andy also says the Buckinghamshire Registrars went out of their way to make the day run smoothly – and that planning the wedding online was really straightforward too:
“The people at the office were lovely and I was able to do everything online. It was a really easy form to fill in – you can save it and can come back to it later so you don’t have to know everything immediately.
The team couldn’t have been more helpful and you get the sense they’re just as delighted for you too that you’re getting married – they go out of their way to make the day really special.”
Other couples who’ve recently married in Buckinghamshire have said this about choosing Celebrate in Buckinghamshire:
“We couldn’t have been happier with the help and the way our ceremony was conducted. Everyone was lovely and made the occasion special for us”
“I just want to say a warm thank you for conducting our marriage ceremony. You really put us both at ease and led the ceremony so professionally! I wanted to pass on this feedback as it is such a special day and I am happy that you made it all run so smoothly for us and brilliantly for the guests also.”
