Charity in focus in today’s council video update

The work of local charities during the coronavirus emergency is the topic of today’s video update (Vlog) from Buckinghamshire Council Leader Martin Tett.

Martin is joined on today’s Vlog by Graham Wakeman from Latimer-based charity Restore Hope.

In the video, Graham explains what the charity normally does and how they’ve changed their focus to help support local communities during the coronavirus pandemic – including working with a number of new partners.

“Restore Hope really exists to train, inspire and equip people for their future to flourish. And so we’re beginning to work out how we transition out of crisis, into what is clearly going to be a long-term challenge,” says Graham in the video.

The daily Vlog, supporting the message #ProudofBucks, also provides an opportunity for people to ask questions via social media on how the council is fighting Coronavirus locally, what residents can do to stay safe, and how they can get involved in helping others – using the #askBucksCouncil Twitter hashtag.

Vlogs will also be shared daily on the council’s social media channels.
