Chilfest announces act times as it celebrates tenth anniversary
31st May 2022, Chilfest, the two-day retro festival which takes place at Pendley Manor, Tring on July 1-2, has today announced the performance times for this year’s lineup.
After winning a competition hosted by Chilfest to find a local band to open the festival, Tess and the Durbervilles are set to kick off a fantastic weekend of live music on Friday the 1st July. The Bedfordshire based four piece won the chance to open the Totally Tribute night. Tess and the Durbervilles will be delighting the crowds with 50 and 60s music as well as some disco and modern hits.
Steve Butcher, Event Director, Chilfest said: “The pandemic hit the events industry hard, no more so than the smaller, independent acts. We decided we wanted to use the event as a platform for a local act to show the crowds their great talent and win some new fans.
“Tess and the Durbervilles got the slot because their repertoire is fantastic and very diverse. Everything from Elvis to Blondie to Bruno Mars – something for everyone. We can’t wait to welcome them at the festival.”
As well as Tess and the Durbervilles, festival goers will enjoy a host of other top tribute acts including ABBA Revival, Tania Alboni as Amy Winehouse, Noasis and The Bootleg Beatles, who take to the stage at 9.45pm to close the Friday night.
Saturday has an eclectic mix of classic pop artists to look forward to. This includes ex-front-man of Spandau Ballet, Tony Hadley, opening the event at midday. Scottish rock duo The Proclaimers, who are performing at Chilfest for the first time, will close the festival taking to the stage at 9.55pm.

On Saturday guests will be able to enjoy a host of refreshments from 16 food stalls including Caribbean Fusion Street food, Greek cosine, Hog roast, BBQ, pizza and more. In addition, there will be a gin bar, cocktail bar, the Carlsberg Bus and a main bar to provide drinks.
