Chiltern Ridgeway School Update
Chiltern Ridgeway School (CRS) are very excited to announce that they will be submitting their application for the School in the upcoming round of applications this autumn, with the support of Darren Lyon and Neale Pledger – the Headmaster and Deputy Headmaster of Sir Thomas Fremantle School (STFS) in Winslow, North Buckinghamshire.
CRS are thrilled to be working with Darren and Neale and to benefit from the wealth of experience, expertise and enthusiasm they bring to the partnership. With a shared focus on the development of the whole child through high quality academic education, small class sizes and a compulsory extended day CRS are feeling very positive about the future of CRS!
Since opening in 2013 under the leadership of Darren and Neale, STFS has gone from strength to strength. They are now 3 times oversubscribed for this September’s entry and they recently received a ‘Good with Outstanding features’ report from Ofsted.
“The Head teacher and Deputy Head teacher have established a culture that encourages academic ambition, nurtures students’ individual talents, and celebrates diversity. As a result, students achieve well and have a positive attitude to learning. Students actively strive to be successful in all that they do.” “Senior leaders set no limits on what students can achieve.” Ofsted, June 2015. |
CRS will be announcing open days in the autumn for prospective parents/students of CRS to visit STFS. This will give people the chance to meet their leadership team, have a look around their school and gain further understanding of what CRS are aiming to achieve when open.
CRS continue to research and investigate possible locations for the school and are progressing very positively with a possible site, although are not yet in a position to be able to share any details.
With the commitment of the Government to open a further 500 Free Schools, the expansion of local infant and junior schools putting even more pressure on Secondary school places, and the support of Darren Lyon and Neale Pledger, CRS are feeling very optimistic about the application.
CRS look forward to seeing you at the open day in the autumn and thank you for your continued support!

CRS are no longer working in partnership with the Wey Education School Trust who continue to focus on their other projects. CRS are very grateful for their guidance and support so far and wish them well for their future.
