Chiltern Way Academy delivers holiday joy

Chiltern Way Academy Wendover continues to strive for excellence in teaching and supporting local SEMH students. However, the students decided it was their turn to show compassion to the Wendover community.

Transition students, years 7 and 8, brainstormed ways in which they could give back to the community that surrounds their school. Students realized that those in Wendover may need holiday joy to fill these troubling times. Together, they created meaningful cards to be delivered to Abbeyfield House, supported housing located right down the street from their school. Students went to deliver the cards and discussed ways in which the school can better the residents of the home. Students were keen to offer their assistance in volunteering with the local community.

Students hope to continue to build relationships and give back to those living and working in the local community.
