Chilterns MS Centre launches pledge campaign

The Chilterns MS Centre is asking its members and the local community to pledge their support this January to help local people affected by multiple sclerosis.

The independent charity, based in Wendover, has launched its latest campaign today to encourage supporters and local businesses to do something great to help the Centre to continue to help people with MS regain control over their physical symptoms and help them deal with the emotions that come after a diagnosis.

Whilst regular giving is very important to the charity, it’s not always about donating money.  The Centre has a wish list of things that it would like people to do; from collecting spare change; donating an hour of time to volunteer or providing pro-bono services.  The main aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the different ways that people can help, and to generate additional donations support throughout the year.

“We need the local community and businesses to get behind the Centre so that we are able to continue to make such a positive difference to people affected by MS.  Providing our services costs £1.2 million a year and so any support we can get is priceless.  We’d love as many people as possible to make a pledge to support us.” – Lauren Parker, Community Fundraising Manager
