Chilterns Neuro Centre forms new association with Hollister Ltd

The Chilterns Neuro Centre is delighted to form a new association with Hollister Ltd, a global healthcare company that develops, manufactures and markets ostomy and continence products.

As well as financially contributing to the work of the Wendover-based charity, the association will also see Hollister host bladder clinics at the Centre to show those affected by incontinence the products and support available. The company will also deliver training on bladder pathways to clinicians at the Centre and other local healthcare professionals to help ensure people are getting the right and timely treatment and support they need.

“Both our organisations are committed to making life more rewarding and dignified for people with neurological conditions, helping them to live life to the full,” said Stella Kubale, Head of Fundraising at the Chilterns Neuro Centre. “This association will help us achieve that through the expertise they can bring to our Centre  and also through providing much needed funding for our charity.”

“We are delighted to be working with Chilterns Neuro Centre, and have long since admired the charity’s commitment to people living with neurological conditions,” said Rebecca Davenport, Director of Clinical Nursing Services, UK and Ireland. “We are confident that together we can continue the important work of raising awareness, and improving quality of life for people living with neurological conditions experiencing bladder issues.”

People with neurological conditions often experience bladder issues due to the disruption or dysfunction of the nervous system’s control over bladder function. The nervous system plays a crucial role in regulating the bladder’s storage and elimination of urine. When there is an underlying neurological condition, this control can be affected, leading to various bladder problems.
