Combat loneliness, maintain mental health and feel connected with CPJ Field

C.P.J Field, the UK’s oldest funeral directors, are welcoming everyone from all walks of life to come together every Tuesday and interact with others in the community they may otherwise not meet.

With cross-generational socialisation being shown to help people feel a sense of connectedness and combat loneliness, C.P.J Field want to ensure they are caring for the living.

Our Bridging the Gap groups are an opportunity for people in all walks of life to get together and interact with others in the community that they wouldn’t normally encounter on a daily basis. Through the time we spend helping local families here at C.P.J. Field, we know that when you’re new to a community or have lost a loved one, it can feel quite isolating, so these groups are a lovely opportunity for anyone without friends or family close by to form new friendships. Cross-generational socialising has been shown to help people feel a sense of connectedness and maintain mental health, combating trends in loneliness.” Maria Butler, C.P.J. Field Community Champion for Buckinghamshire
