County Council shows solidarity to the City of Manchester
Flags outside County Hall in Aylesbury are flying at half mast todayas a mark of respect and sympathy forthe people ofManchester followinglast night’s terrorist attack in the city centre.
Council Leader, Martin Tett said: “This was a reprehensible attack on one of our great cities and all the more callous as it targeted children and young people. This morning I sent my condolences to Sir Richard Leese, the Leader ofManchester City Council.”
County Council Chairman Patricia Birchley expressed theviews of the whole council when shesaid: “On behalf of Members and staff of Buckinghamshire County Council I send my heartfelt sympathy to the families of those who lost loved ones in the terrible atrocity that happened in Manchester last night. Our thoughts and prayers are also with those who were injured and all those who were affected.”
