COVID-19 vaccination and booster options available in Buckinghamshire over the next week
There are plenty of ways to get your COVID-19 booster jab in Buckinghamshire over the coming days, as the vaccination programme ramps up to include more people.
These now include the 40-plus age group, those aged16 and over who are at high risk or who live with someone at high risk, and health and social care staff.
As well as the various vaccination options available – including GP-led sites, pharmacy sites and the Guttmann Centre in Stoke Mandeville – the Health on The Move van will be stopping at different locations across Bucks until 19 December.
Boosters will be given to those at greatest risk first – currently anyone over 40 years is eligible as long as it has been three months since their second dose. The NHS will contact you when it is your turn to arrange a jab.
Eligible people are able to book an appointment at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by phoning 119 if they can’t arrange it online.
If you work in Health and Social Care you can now access first, second and booster vaccinations via the Hospital Hub system – appointments for this are available until 23 December (some walk-ins are also available on 10 and 11 December). You can find the booking link, along with the latest vaccination updates for Buckinghamshire, by going to: https://www.buckinghamshireccg.nhs.uk/public/your-services/feeling-unwell/covid-19-vaccination-programme/local-covid-19-vaccination-updates/

Dr Raj Bajwa, Chair of NHS Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “It really is vital that as many people as possible get their booster vaccination when they are eligible. So, when the NHS contacts you to tell you the time is right to get your booster, please make sure you take up the opportunity as soon as possible, to protect yourself and your loved ones. We are prioritising those at greatest risk and are now working steadily through our patient lists.”
