Developer reminds children where not to go “site” seeing this summer
Now that the school summer holidays are upon us and we’re allowed out and about, Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Thames is warning youngsters in Buckinghamshire about the dangers of playing on building sites.
New homes developments under construction may look like exciting places to explore, but the developer is warning children and their parents that they can be extremely hazardous.
Simon Francis, Managing Director and Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Thames, said: “Developers like ourselves are building more new homes at sites all over the country, but until they are completed these places can be dangerous, and now that lockdown is easing and we’re slowly being allowed to venture further afield, children should be told to stay away.
“While we do watch out for youngsters during the day and secure our sites at night, we would like to ask parents to ensure the safety of their children during the holidays, especially if they live near an active building site.”
Barratt and David Wilson Homes hosts site visits and holds regular safety talks for schools close to wherever it is building new homes to encourage site safety and highlight the hazards of playing on or near construction sites.
Barratt and David Wilson Homes is currently building homes at the following developments in the county: Kingsbrook in Aylesbury and St Rumbold’s Fields in Buckingham.
