Discover Saxon Warriors, Pop-up Cinema and Play Zone at Bucks County Museum this Easter
During the Easter holidays, Bucks County Museum in Aylesbury has lots of special activities and events for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
Meet the brave and fierce Saxon warriors who will be encamped in the Museum garden on Easter Sunday and Monday. The Wulfheodenas, an elite band of warriors, base their armour on the stunning helmet and armour found in the burial of a chieftain at Sutton Hoo in Suffolk. Try on some armour, watch Saxon craft demonstrations and explore the encampment in this special living history event for all the family.
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, we are showing favourite family movies in our Pop-up Cinema. Enjoy screenings of The LEGO Movie and Fantastic Mr Fox in the relaxed atmosphere of the Museum. There will be sweets, snacks and drinks available to enjoy during the show, too.
Families can also drop into the Play Zone, a fantastic area where parents can relax and children play with games and toys including Duplo bricks, Brio trains and Giant Jenga. Together with the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery for hands-on discovery and amazing science, Bucks County Museum is the perfect place for families to have fun and discover things together this Easter.
