Double whammy for Ashridge Home Care

Amersham based home care provider is shortlisted in two categories at the fifth annual SME Business Awards – Best Employer of the Year and Service Excellence.  The awards recognise industrious,  hardworking and enterprising SME’s (Small and medium enterprises) nationally and culminate in a Grand Final at Wembley on Friday 3rd December.

Ashridge Home Care provides live-in and visiting carers for vulnerable and elderly people across the South East of England. The company is built upon the foundation that every successful care company relies upon the team of brilliant people that deliver the care.  These individuals are passionate about who they are and what they stand for and these nominations are testament to their hard work.

Company Founder Trudi Scrivener commented:  “These award nominations come at a particularly apt time for us as we are recruiting to employ more carers as we head into the colder winter months.  The profile of live-in care as the best and safest solution has been raised dramatically in the past two years and demand for reliable qualified carers has increased threefold.  To be nominated in the best employer category makes me especially proud as we strive to create a happy working environment for our carers who in return look after our clients with outstanding professionalism and genuine empathy. We have several roles to fill at the moment ranging from visiting carers, field care supervisors, office based roles and live-in carers.”

Corrina Bignall joined Ashridge Home Care in May this year as Recruitment and Training Manager and she is actively promoting these SME National Business Award nominations to recruit new carers.  “Feedback has been great from our existing carers that we’ve been nominated in the Service Excellence category.  They are very proud to be part of an organisation that cares so much about delivering the best possible care for its clients and their families.  I am seeing lots of new candidates who are switching careers at a point in their lives where they want to give back to the community. Ashridge offers robust training to help new candidates transition into the care sector. We truly believe that if we look after our carers they in turn will look after our clients and these nominations are testament to the hard work of the team, especially in the last 18 months.”

As a multi award winning care provider with over 30 years’ experience, Ashridge Home Care has the capacity to provide skilled, conscientious and friendly carers to deliver a safe one-to-one care to vulnerable and elderly individuals in the comfort of their own home.
