Eat Out to Help Out is a hit with Buckinghamshire businesses – more half price meals out
Now in its third week, thousands of Buckinghamshire residents have been making the most of the Government’s Eat Out to to Help Out scheme.
Customers get up to 50% slashed off on their eat in food bills when visiting any one of the hundreds of participating restaurants, pubs and cafes throughout Buckinghamshire.
The half price discount is running all the way through to the end of the month so there are just a few days left to make the most of this this popular promotion.
Look out for the stickers in windows or use the search online to find all the independent and chain restaurants who are offering the discount near you. Go online and put in your postcode to see which businesses are participating near you. Use the Eat Out to Help Out restaurant finder to find all the places near you who are offering money off your bills. Many restaurants are getting fully booked, so it’s worth checking for availability and reserving a table to avoid being disappointed.
There are around 2,600 hospitality and tourism-related businesses in Buckinghamshire, employing approximately 22,000 people. As is the case nationally, many of these businesses have been severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Cllr Steve Bowles Buckinghamshire Council Cabinet Member for Town Centre Regeneration says: “Many of our independent Buckinghamshire businesses are using the scheme to bring customers back after months of enforced closure. We know that many of our local eateries are seeing a fantastic take up with people enjoying money off meals and even coffees and eat in snacks. There’s a double feel good factor here – you can use the scheme as many times as you like and in as many participating places as you like, and each time you can get up to £10 off per person and, of course, with every visit, you are also doing your bit to protect precious local jobs in Bucks.”
Many participating restaurants offer healthy and low-calorie options, so you can enjoy the discount as part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Local businesses have made the necessary preparations to become Covid-secure protecting their customers and staff. They are each using combinations of protective screens, contactless payments, social distancing, one way walking systems, online bookings and reducing the capacity for each seating.
